Dr. Omar Abdelkafy is not the son-in-law of Sheikh Metwally Al-Shaarawi, may he rest in peace, but rather he studied and learned from him. Dr. Omar Abdelkafy is married to the granddaughter of the preacher Habib Al-Khatib and she works as a teacher at Cairo University in the Department of Documents and Libraries. They have five children: three sons, Ahmed, Amar, and Bilal, and two daughters, Huda and Nada.
