يستخدم علاج prednol 4 mg لعلاج مشاكل الحساسية، التهابات المفاصل الروماتيزمية، بعض أنواع السرطان، مشاكل العين، التنفس، الكولاجين، وهو علاج مضاد للالتهابات. ويستخدم أيضاً كبديل لهرمون الكورتيكوستيرويد الطبيعية.
