يوحنا الوزير
هو الوزير أبى السرور يوحنا بن يوسف الابح ،
وقد كان مقرباً جداً للخليفة المستنصر بالله فى العصر الفاطمى وكان كاتم سره أيضاً وكان مكرما جدا لامانتة وعلمة .
فجعله وزيراً على مصر كلها وكان هذا الوزير متواضعاً يعطفة على كل الناس
وقد وقع في ضيقة عظيمة بسبب مكيدة أحد الأشرار
حتى ان الخليفة أراد أن يقطع رأسه وكان يتشفع هو وزوجته الفاضلة بالقديسة بربارة
فاظهر الله الحقيقة للخليفة فعاقب صاحب المكيدة أشر عقاب وأفرج عن وزيره الأمين
وزادت محبته له.
ثم قال له: ” اُطلب منى أي طلب فأقضيه لك “
فطلب منة ان يبنى كنيسة فوافق الخليفة وامر لة بما طلب
وقام الوزير ببناء كنيستين وهما كنيسة القديس أبى سرجة وكنيسة القديسة بربارة بمصر القديمة
John the Minister was a very close advisor to the Fatimid Caliph Al-Mustansir Billah and a keeper of his secrets. He was respected for his integrity and knowledge, and eventually became the minister of all of Egypt. Despite being humble and kind to everyone, he fell into trouble because of a plot by some evildoers. The Caliph wanted to punish him, but John and his wife interceded with Saint Barbara, leading to the truth being revealed and the plotters being punished. The Caliph then granted John any request he had, and he chose to build two churches in old Cairo.
