Students of Al-Baroudi were called the “School of Revival and Renaissance” because they revived poetry and the Arabic language. They focused on the stylistic aspect of opening up to Western cultures and mingling with foreigners. They were also influenced by many events of the time, such as the Denshawai incident, freedom of the press, and the injustice of the ruler. Their renewal was characterized by the beauty of expression and the attention to crafting verses in a coordinated and organized manner.
