The miracles of Jesus included healing the blind and the lepers, and even resurrecting the dead with the permission of God. These miracles were performed in front of a knowledgeable crowd who excelled in the field of medicine. In contrast, the miracle of Moses was seen as similar to magic, but it was not, as the people at that time were skilled in magic and knowledge. When they witnessed Moses turning his staff into a living snake, they believed in him. The Quran, revealed to a people known for their mastery of the Arabic language, was a challenge to the Arabs to produce something similar, which they were unable to do.
