مؤشر Atherogenic البلازما (AIP) هو نسبة تحول لوغاريتماتي من تركيزات المولي من الدهون الثلاثية إلى الكولسترول HDL. قد يفسر الارتباط القوي لـ AIP مع حجم جسيمات البروتين الدهني قيمته التنبؤية العالية.
The Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP) is a ratio that measures the logarithmic transformation of molar concentrations of triglycerides to HDL cholesterol. The strong correlation of AIP with the size of fatty protein particles may explain its high predictive value.
