Many reasons make people distance themselves from tolerance, including hypocrisy, lack of love for others, arrogance, having negative thoughts about God, and lack of awareness and understanding of His wisdom on Earth. If people understood the reasons behind the existence of the rich and the poor, they would be grateful for what they have and work to please Him.
