زر insert له وظيفة تتعلق بالكتابة فى برنامج الوورد حيث يتيح إدراج حرف أو كلمة بدلا من الكلمة المظللة ويستخدم في التبديل بين وضع الكتابة المعتاد حيث ان ما تكتبه بين كلمتين او حرفين يضاف إليهما حيث يؤدى كتابة حرف الي استبدال الحرف الذي يليه
