الإقليم اللورنسي
يسمى بالهضبة اللورنسية أو الدرع اللورنسي ،ويمتد من المحيط المتجمد الشمالي إلى خط البحيرات الخمس ونهر سانت لورنس جنوبا ومن المحيط الأطلسي شرقا إلى خط بحيرة الدب الكبير والعبد الكبير وبحيرة ويبنبك في الغرب ،ويتكون الإقليم من صخور نارية ومتحولة قديمة.
The Laurentian Region is named after the Laurentian Shield or Plateau, extending from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the line of the Five Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River in the south, and from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the line of the Great Bear Lake and Great Slave Lake and Wabigoon Lake in the west. The region is composed of ancient igneous and metamorphic rocks.
