The heart is made up of four chambers (right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle) that work together and are connected by valves that regulate the blood flow in the circulatory system between the arteries and veins. Unlike damaged liver or pancreas tissue that can be removed, any attempt to remove a part of the heart will result in immediate death as the heart chambers are crucial for the body’s survival.
