Yusuf (Joseph) cried six times in the story; first when he saw his brother Benjamin, second when he found out about his brothers’ betrayal, third when he revealed himself to his brother Benjamin and cried on his shoulder, fourth when he reunited with his father after years of separation, and fifth when he learned that his father’s eyes turned white from sadness. Each time Yusuf cried was a result of emotional moments in his journey of forgiveness and reconciliation with his family.
